The journey of HiPaws was started in 2019 providing medical aid to dogs with minor injuries such as skin infections, sprains, dog bites, and minor bruises/cuts. However, in the era of lockdown, we started the actual leg work and we started rescuing dogs with medium-to-severe illnesses/injuries such as dogs with complex maggot wounds, dogs with life-threatening tumours and cancer, amputation cases which involved rescuing dogs from the territory to taking them to the vet for a proper diagnosis to determine to course of treatment. Not only rescues, we also added additional projects such as hosting the vaccination/sterilization drives in the nearby areas as well as, feeding more than 250+ dogs on a daily basis.
